Multi-week in-person | Registration opens 8/26/25 10:00 AM
The Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course is a systematic, participant-centered education program which uses training in mindfulness meditation and gentle mindful yoga as the core of a program to guide people in the process of developing the skills of better self-care. You will participate in an introduction/overview of the course developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D., at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. It is discussed in detail in his book, Full Catastrophe Living. Our course is presented through a combination of lecture, discussion, experiential learning and home practices.
Moderator: Ron Lech is a retired cardiologist with a 15-year interest in stress management, mindfulness meditation and yoga. He is a qualified MBSR instructor and certified yoga instructor having done mindfulness teacher training at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He has taught the entire MBSR program since 2015. This will be the first time teaching an abbreviated/introductory version.
