2909 Friday Book Class: Connecting Nature to the Human Experience

We will read and discuss four books by authors who incorporate ideas and images of nature as sources of inspiration and backdrops of the human experience. The class meets every other week. Please read the following - North Woods by Daniel Mason (10/3), H Is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald (10/17), Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver (10/31), and The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer (11/7).
Moderators: Susan Robinson has attended and moderated the Friday Book Class for many years. Monica Solomon is a careful reader of fiction, memoirs and non-fiction. She has participated in the Friday Book Class for the past few years and looks forward to co-moderating the class with Susan.
