This two-hour interactive class explores the City of Cincinnati's role in housing regulation, examining the complex interplay between home rule and state law through specific case studies. You will gain insights into current tenant protection and housing preservation efforts, including the broader context shaping housing policies, through a discussion of lawsuits, local and state laws, the rental housing market, and current events.

Moderators: Erica Faaborg is a Deputy City Solicitor for the City of Cincinnati, where she advises and consults on a variety of legal issues, including various housing initiatives. Shannon Price is a Visiting Assistant Professor with the UC College of Law, where she teaches core curricula and leads the Access to Counsel program.
