2428 Mysteries as Literature

multi-week ZOOM | Registration opens 8/26/25 10:00 AM

We'll read and discuss six mysteries that are serious literature with serious questions, in order: An Unfortunate Prairie Occurrence by Jamie Harrison (NOTE: MUST be purchased!), The Little Drummer Girl by John le Carré, The Lola Quartet by Emily St. John Mandel, The Searcher by Tana French, and Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng, plus two short stories “The Story of Yesterday” by Sergio Cobo and “Death Threats” by Georges Simenon.. These represent great writing and storytelling, but they are for YOUR enjoyment.

Moderator: John Briggs has moderated 40 OLLI courses. He believes these courses are for your enjoyment, so read what you want, come when you want; speak a lot or stay silent. But enjoy! PS: numerous people have survived his courses; some more than one!
