Following a review of the Supreme Court’s 2025 decisions, UC Professor Emeritus Howard Tolley will preview the major cases on the 2025-26 docket. By the end of its last term, the Court had issued preliminary decisions on President Trump's emergency claims of extraordinary executive power in pending cases to be decided on the merits in the coming year. Other significant cases on the docket involve religious liberty, race matters, free speech, criminal due-process, transgender issues, election districts, and equal protection.
