One-time in-Person | Registration opens 8/26/25 10:00 AM
Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant knew each other for only 13 months before Lincoln was assassinated. But in that perilous time, the nation’s soul and future was at stake. The two westerners thought alike, both matured greatly, and fervently enjoyed each other’s company. This story unveils that alliance, which forged a friendship and eventually won the war. Civil War historian Chris Burns, former adjunct faculty, NKU, has conducted significant research regarding Grant and Lincoln. His passion is linking the past to the present and bringing history to life.
