1252 Flash Fiction: Stories That Surprise in a Moment or Instant

Twitterature, dribbles, drabbles, microfiction, or sudden fiction—flash fiction comes in many sizes and shapes. In our hurry-up internet world, these forms of fiction have become increasingly popular because they take but a moment to make us believe we can have everything at once or break our hearts when we learn we can't. We will explore the many forms of flash fiction as a foundation for writing and sharing our own stories to surprise and delight in a moment.
Moderator: Mark Breitenstein is a retired teacher of English. He taught in high schools in Cincinnati and Massachusetts where he particularly enjoyed teaching literature and writing. Like many English teachers, he has dabbled in his own writing and rewriting his own sometimes crazy ideas. He has self-published a novel and believes we all have stories to tell and share.
