5012 LIVE VIA ZOOM: Prevention of Chronic Noninfectious Diseases: The Metabolic Syndrome
One-time in-Person | Registration opens 4/1/25 10:00 AM
In the last 200 years, scientific advancements and chemical products have appeared, mostly to our benefit. However, the toxicity of a few have produced the appearance of chronic noninfectious diseases previously rare but now epidemic and known as the metabolic syndrome (hypertension, obesity, secondary diabetes with associated major organ failures, autoimmune disease, dementia, mental illness, and cancer). Fortunately, they are preventable by inexpensive lifestyle changes. Presenter Kirt Hobler, MD, is a retired general surgeon with practice, teaching, and research focusing on the metabolic care of surgical patients.
