Post WWII, original Hollywood musicals entered their own "Golden Age" with the rise of stars such as Gene Kelly, Esther Williams, Frank Sinatra, Mario Lanza, and Ann Miller. Through discussion and film clips, we'll explore original Hollywood musicals including "The Pirate", "Easter Parade", "Royal Wedding" and "Summer Stock". Join us for a nostalgic look back at old Hollywood.
Moderator: Doug Iden is a big fan of movies and theatrical musicals with an extensive collection of films and original Broadway scores. He has taught classes on Broadway and film at OLLI for many years.
