One-time in-Person | Registration opens 4/1/25 10:00 AM
Just in time for the 80th anniversary of V-E Day and the liberation of the Dachau Concentration Camp, local historian Dan Hurley will release his newest book, Crossing Borders/Expanding Boundaries. The book draws on the wartime letters and diaries of his father, Irwin Hurley. Born and raised in middle-class world of suburban Northern Kentucky, Irwin was challenged by the war to broaden his views, especially as a white officer leading a Quartermaster Trucking Company of 130 black enlisted men who ended their service as liberators of the Dachau Concentration Camp.
