2415 Glaciers, Earthquakes/Tsunamis, Erosion in Utah, and Formation of Mountains

Multi-week in-person | Registration opens 4/1/25 10:00 AM

We will begin with how glaciers helped form the Ohio River in our area. Then to Kentucky to see how limestone forms the bones of horses as well as stalactites in Mammoth Cave. Then to Vietnam for more karst topography. Next to the Pacific Northwest and the Scablands, which were formed by melting glaciers and the Missoula floods. Then we'll examine erosion in arid areas such as Utah and Arizona, examine earthquakes and their destruction including tsunamis, and conclude with the formation of the Appalachian Mountains.
