multi-week ZOOM | Registration opens 4/1/25 10:00 AM
Starting in the mid to late 1960s, Broadway musicals entered a new era with the next generation of composer/lyricists including Stephen Sondheim, Stephen Schwartz, Kander and Ebb, Strauss and Adams, and others. Through discussion and film clips, we'll explore shows including "1776", "Company", "Godspell", "Grease," "Candide," and other more recent musicals.
Moderator: Doug Iden is a big fan of movies and theatrical musicals with an extensive collection of films and original Broadway scores. He has taught classes on Broadway and film at OLLI for many years.
