1708 Food for Life Cancer Project: Decreasing Cancer Risk with Food

Multi-week in-person | Registration opens 1/3/25 10:00 AM

Food for Life classes teach nutrition education and cooking to reduce diet-related diseases. This four-class series focuses on plant-based nutrition and guides you to make the connection between diet and the risk of developing various cancers. You will develop an understanding of foods and nutrients that promote or discourage cancer development. Each class features an educational video and cooking demonstrations with tastings. These classes are not meant for individuals currently undergoing cancer treatment. NOTE: moderator will collect $20 (cash or Venmo) at the first class to cover food and materials.

Moderator: Honora Favorito worked for many years as a pathologist and saw firsthand the toll that chronic Western diseases take on so many people. She became interested in the power of a whole-foods plant-based/vegan diet to prevent and treat chronic diseases and is dedicated to helping people learn about, and transition to, a whole-food plant-based lifestyle.
