You have a new DSLR or mirrorless camera! So now how do you create some great images? This course is intended for folks wanting to learn the basics of how to use their digital camera (NOT point-and-shoot!) with little or no previous knowledge. We’ll cover learning the fundamentals of photography including the major parts of a camera. You'll learn shooting in aperture priority, shutter priority, program and manual modes. We'll discuss the basics of exposure, depth of field, focusing, lenses and composition. Let’s make some great pictures together!
Moderator: Ray Rawlinson has been a keen amateur photographer for 65+ years. He was a professional photographer for three years specializing in wedding and industrial. Most of his career was spent as a professional aerospace/mechanical engineer where he photographed much of his work. He considers himself a generalist with a wide range of interests including portraits, landscapes, sports and cars.
