1920 IN-PERSON Memories of Wooden Shoe Hollow

One-time in-Person | Registration opens 1/3/25 10:00 AM

Minnie Rennegarbe Schumacher emigrated from Germany to Wooden Shoe Hollow in 1910 when she was 14 and lived to be 104. Her story illuminates the German immigrant experience, the German enclave in Wooden Shoe Hollow, and the story of a four-generation family gardening business.

Moderator: Greg Gajus has presented OLLI classes on the history of NASA, Dwight Eisenhower, the Cincinnati Reds, and WKRP in Cincinnati. In 2024, he co-authored with his cousin Linda Headings The Grandma Project, a family history centered on the life of Minnie Rennegarbe Schumacher.
