Designed to help make you a better photographer, this workshop is for those who have previously completed a photography course, have a working knowledge of their DSLR or mirrorless camera, and want to engage in visual creativity at the next level. The workshop involves taking photographs, presenting photographs, and performing a critique of photographs. Each week, you will share five photos on the assigned challenge topic and receive comments from the moderators and classmates, intended to be constructive and useful as you grow your skills and sophistication. We will all be active participants, because we firmly believe that we can learn from each other!

Moderators: Kieran Daly and Howard Jackson are former UC professors. They bring their collective experience as long-time amateur photographers with increasing sophistication. Kieran also brings his amateur painting experience and Howard his experience as a physicist to bear on photography topics. Both strongly believe that we can not only learn from experts but also from individual members of the class.
