1918 IN-PERSON History of Cincinnati Colleges
One-time in-Person | Registration opens 1/3/25 10:00 AM
The history of higher education in Cincinnati goes well beyond UC and Xavier. A number of esteemed colleges had great impact but are no longer around or have been absorbed by other universities. Local history writer Jeff Suess will present a history lesson on the colleges and universities of Cincinnati, including when UC was really founded (not in 1819), the attempts of Dr. Daniel Drake to start a medical college, and how College Hill got its name.
Moderator: Jeff Suess is a history writer with a weekly column in the Cincinnati Enquirer and several local history books including Lost Cincinnati, Cincinnati Then and Now, and Cincinnati: An Illustrated Timeline.
