2108 Highlights of English History from Julius Caesar to Queen Victoria

English history spans over 2,000 years. We will pay special attention to the Anglo-Saxon invasion and Arthur's (real or imagined) role in battling it. We will examine the fateful year of 1066. We will look at England's first civil war occurring after the death of Henry I, the second civil war cumulating in the Wars of the Roses, the third civil war ending in the execution of Charles I. We will examine the lives of England's most influential monarchs such as Henry II, Edward 1st, Henry VIII, Elizabeth 1, George III, and Victoria.
Moderator: Bert Luken has been studying English history for 40+ years. He has read dozens of books on the subject and completed nine of the courses on English history offered by Wondrium.
