We will explore the development of invention, technology, and engineering in the US from the Colonial period to the modern era. Along the way, we'll consider the intertwining social, economic, and political issues that influenced technology policy choices as the nation developed.
Moderator: Jason Krupar, PhD, is Associate Professor of History, UC College of Arts and Sciences. Previously, he taught at the OMI College of Applied Sciences. He specializes in the history of technology and engineering, Civil War technology and engineering, and Manhattan Project/Cold War nuclear weapons. He is co-editor of Ohio Valley History journal.
