4706 The Ten Commandments: Origins, Misunderstandings, and Interpretations

Multi-week in-person | Registration opens 1/3/25 10:00 AM

Disputes about the public display of the Ten Commandments are in the news again, highlighting the significance of these ancient words. In this 4-week participatory class, we will closely read texts in the Five Books of Moses and the New Testament containing and relating to the Ten Commandments and examine differing interpretations of the verses in the Jewish tradition over centuries. A copy of the Five Books of Moses is required.
