In this dynamic two-part class, young artists will create their own small human sculpture inspired by the exciting sports of the Winter Olympics. Students will choose a favorite event—such as skiing, skating, snowboarding, or hockey—and design an athlete frozen in action.

Using wire armatures, artists will build expressive poses that capture movement and balance. They will then use papier-mâché to add form, followed by paper clothing and accessories to bring their Olympian to life.
