Cozy Clay Mugs: Handbuilding with Coils
 In this two-part ceramic handbuilding class, young artists will create their very own functional mug inspired by their favorite cold-weather foods and drinks—think hot cocoa, soup, cider, or anything that brings cozy winter comfort.

In Part 1, students will learn the coiling technique to build the form of their mug, then personalize it by adding relief sculpture, patterns, or textured designs to the exterior.

In Part 2, artists will refine their piece with gentle sanding and choose glaze colors to bring their mug to life with beautiful, food-safe finishes.

By the end of the class, each student will have a unique handmade mug perfect for warming up on chilly days!
