Homeschool: Needle Felted Native Birds
Homeschool | Available
In this hands-on fiber arts class, young artists will create their own small felt figurine inspired by birds that live in our area year-round. Students will choose a non-migrating local bird—such as a chickadee, cardinal, nuthatch, or wren—and bring it to life using colorful wool roving.
Artists will learn needle-felting techniques, including shaping forms, blending colors, and adding details like wings, beaks, and markings. Step by step, they’ll transform soft wool into a charming, realistic felt bird to take home. This class is perfect for nature lovers and creative makers who enjoy working with their hands!
