Experimental Watercolor Painting
Homeschool | Available
In this class, students will explore the exciting world of watercolor painting through experimentation! Using a variety of techniques, they’ll learn how to create interesting textures, blend colors, and make their paintings come alive. This class is inspired by artist Maya Freelon, featured in the Torggler’s Gateways: African American Art from the Key Collection exhibition, who combines watercolor and bleeding tissue paper to create unique works like Balance. Students will have the freedom to play and discover new effects. Each student will create their own abstract watercolor painting, experimenting with different applications to make a one-of-a-kind artwork.
