Pewter Sand Casting Summer 2024

In this one-day workshop inspired by the bronze sculptures of Anna Hyatt Huntington on view in the Ann Noland Edwards Gallery, students will learn the time-honored technique of casting. Following an introduction to the process of casting, students will create a small relief sculpture and will then be guided through the process of sand-casting a replica in pewter. Students will leave with their original relief sculpture as well as a beautiful pewter replica finished with a soft patina. No experience is necessary for this exciting and fun
workshop, and all supplies will be provided.
