Learn to create stunning portraits in this class as we explore how to draw the human face. Students will learn and practice key aspects of portraiture, such as value, visual measuring, facial planes, and more! Through exercises and activities, students will utilize their new skills to create many sketches and a final self-portrait.

Sarah Booze
Born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina, Sarah Katherine Booze has been drawing and painting since the age of 12 but started her professional art career in 2017. A self-taught artist, Sarah always found herself drawn to the beauty and wonder of the natural landscapes of the world and began to paint the places around her. Her paintings are inspired by her home in North Carolina, as well as the many places she travels.
Through color, brushwork, and composition, her art illustrates the tranquility and allure of nature. The landscapes she paints possess a quiet simplicity which invites the viewer to dive in and sit for a while.
