NEW! 615. The Art of Photographing Waterfalls
Class - Photography | Available
Dive deep (pun intended??) into the discipline of waterfall and whitewater photography, In this brief 3-week workshop, learn to create images that highlight the beauty of nature through long exposure, neutral density filters, and more. The first class will cover equipment, techniques, and composition best suited for photographing waterfalls. The second meeting will be an outdoor hands-on session photographing a waterfall location in Winston Salem, and the third will be dedicated to constructive criticism of work created during week 2 plus highlighting several different post-processing techniques that can transform our images from good to great.
- Students should have a basic understanding of exposure and of their camera’s operation, but not necessarily any landscape shooting experience.
Greg Dailey
I'm an amateur photographer in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. My work has occasionally been found hanging in one of a few local venues, but mostly I just shoot for myself. For most of my working life I've been a musician, among other things; I currently work in the music area of the UNC School of the Arts library. But my eyes have always brought me more interesting things than my ears. I was fascinated by cameras and pictures as a kid, but didn't make serious attempts at learning photography until about 2006. Landscape and nature photography was the starting point of my interest, and still constitutes the bulk of my subject matter, but I do branch out to other things as well.
Some of my work can be found at dogseyeview.net.
