Film Photography Pt. 1
Class - Photography | Available
Experience the magic of film photography from capture to processing. This 4-week class is the first in a 2-part intensive introduction to 35mm film photography. Students will learn how to create personal and expressive images with film cameras and manually process black and white negatives in our fully functional darkroom. Digital has revolutionized the photography space for speed and immediate feedback but many photographers still prefer the hands on craft of traditional film photography. Please note there is a mandatory $45 materials fee that will be automatically added at checkout.
- This materials fee covers 3 Rolls of 35mm Illford HP5+ BW film, darkroom chemicals, and darkroom paper consumables. Students will be given their 3 rolls on the first day of class. Please consider also attending Part 2 where students will learn to digitally scan film and to make black & white prints by hand in the darkroom
