SBC: Light Painting
Workshop - Photography | Available
Saturday Bootcamp is a series of workshops intended to quickly grown your skill and knowledge base as a photographer. In this workshop we will dive deep into light painting. Known as the Paolo Roversi method, turn any continuous light source (your phone, a flashlight, or dedicated light painting devices) into an incredibly powerful lighting tool. In this one day bootcamp we will work with models and various tools to craft and refine the process of painting the light to create unique colorful portrait images. In addition to light painting specific devices we will use colored gels, bounce cards, tripods, and blended light (flash mixed with continuous lights). This one-day workshop class is entirely hands-on as students will spend 60 percent in complete darkness (save their light sources) creating and crafting one of a kind images. A working digital camera with a manual mode operation is required. The class will also include discussions about various methods, advanced tools, and post processing techniques specific to light painting. AGES: 16-Adult
