In this workshop we will look at pictures of all different types of insects and create abstract versions of these bugs using exotic colors and focusing on the shapes we see. We will utilize a textured background, underpainting and various canvas sizes to zoom in or out on these ornate creatures. Ages 14 and up.  The class will break for lunch. Lenkaitis, Bryn
    Bryn Lenkaitis

Bryn Lenkaitis is a Pennsylvania native who fell in love with the people and places of North Carolina and decided to make it home about 4 years ago. She has a BA in Art History and Studio Art from IUP where she was given the opportunity to study in both Croatia and Spain – most memorable being her experience backpacking the El Camino de Santiago across Northern Spain.

When she’s not working as a Philanthropic Project Specialist aiding in the fundraising efforts for Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Bryn creates art mainly in acrylics and oils but also experiments with ink and mixed media. Her artwork explores the use of bold color and texture to bring to life both the beautiful adventures and day-to-day places she inhabits. In doing so, she can put down roots in the rich soil of each new community she finds herself in and preserve the transient landscapes along the way that bring her immense joy.
