English Paper Piecing
Workshop - Textiles | Available
English Paper Piecing, called EPP for short, is a hand sewing technique used in quilting. It features using shapes of card stock to keep the fabric in the correct sizes and shapes. Once the quilt top is finished, papers are removed, and the quilt can be finished as you would any quilt. With this technique, no pattern is too complex. Students will learn the skills and have the materials to make a 12" square-ish mini quilt top completely by hand. Ages 14 and up.
- There will be an assortment of fabric available. Students may wish to bring cotton fabric or scraps from old clothing that are meaningful to include in their work.
