9322. Parent + Kid Workshop: Pollinator Hotel

Work together with your child to build a Hotel for bees and pollinators. With an emphasis on workshop safety, the instructor will lead you through the project, teaching age-appropriate woodworking techniques that you and your cool kid can do together. Soon you will be able to welcome solitary bees and pollinator wasps! Don't be scared, these friends are necessary to our ecosystem and your garden! Parents or guardians are welcome to sign up with one kid between the ages of 8 and 12. No experience is necessary.
Additional Information:
- Both Participants (Parent/Guardian + Kid) must register for the class.
- Each adult/youth pair will build one Pollinator Hotel.
- A $10 material fee will be charged with each registration.
- Registration will close one week prior to the start of class.

David Draper is a Technology and Engineering Design Teacher at Hanes Magnet Middle School in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. He has been a woodworker for 40+ years on professional and personal projects including custom cabinets, furniture, marquetry, and craft projects. He loves teaching all levels of ages and skills.
