Oil Painting - Fruit and Vegetable Still Life
Art + Wellness | Available
Fruit is one of my absolute favorite things to paint because it truly is a work of art that comes right from the Earth. Over 4 weeks we will paint 2-3 still lives that we observe in class using fresh produce I will bring in. This will give us the opportunity to talk about warm vs cool colors and creating lifelike shapes/forms with shading and highlights. Basic supplies included. Students may wish to purchase additional paint if needed. Ages 14 and up.
Bryn Lenkaitis
Bryn Lenkaitis is a Pennsylvania native who fell in love with the people and places of North Carolina and decided to make it home about 4 years ago. She has a BA in Art History and Studio Art from IUP where she was given the opportunity to study in both Croatia and Spain – most memorable being her experience backpacking the El Camino de Santiago across Northern Spain.
When she’s not working as a Philanthropic Project Specialist aiding in the fundraising efforts for Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Bryn creates art mainly in acrylics and oils but also experiments with ink and mixed media. Her artwork explores the use of bold color and texture to bring to life both the beautiful adventures and day-to-day places she inhabits. In doing so, she can put down roots in the rich soil of each new community she finds herself in and preserve the transient landscapes along the way that bring her immense joy.
