The Quiet Release: Art Journaling
Art + Wellness | Available
In this workshop we will take time to journal about experiences or moments that we would like to release from our thoughts but not necessarily share with anyone. Then we will create art throughout the pages of text using paint and collage materials to cover our words. This practice is not one that I came up with but I am eager to share this therapeutic journaling session with you in hopes that we will feel lighter and know that our art holds deep meaning.. Transformed or reimagined. Students should bring their own journal. Other supplies will be provided. Ages 14 and up.

Bryn Lenkaitis
Bryn Lenkaitis is a Pennsylvania native who fell in love with the people and places of North Carolina and decided to make it home about 4 years ago. She has a BA in Art History and Studio Art from IUP where she was given the opportunity to study in both Croatia and Spain – most memorable being her experience backpacking the El Camino de Santiago across Northern Spain.
When she’s not working as a Philanthropic Project Specialist aiding in the fundraising efforts for Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Bryn creates art mainly in acrylics and oils but also experiments with ink and mixed media. Her artwork explores the use of bold color and texture to bring to life both the beautiful adventures and day-to-day places she inhabits. In doing so, she can put down roots in the rich soil of each new community she finds herself in and preserve the transient landscapes along the way that bring her immense joy.
