This class is available to students who have taken at least 1 Intermediate Wheel Throwing class at Sawtooth. If you have prior experience from a different studio, please contact the Director of Ceramics for approval.
Focussing on wheel throwing with some handbuilding components, this studio class is for individuals who feel comfortable with the fundamentals of wheel throwing and are eager to improve their skills. Creative exploration will be encouraged through demonstration and critiques.
Ages: 16 - Adult
A $30 material fee for the first 25 pounds of stoneware clay will be added at time of checkout.
- This class meets a total of 9 times. NO class on 11/27.
In addition to class instruction, the tuition includes related glazes, firings, and access to open studio hours (open studio hours are subject to change).
Dodie Campbell
Dodie graduated with a BFA in ceramics from Utah State University and an MFA in ceramics from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She has been teaching beginning and advanced wheelthrowing at Sawtooth since 2006. When not running or driving her kids around town, you may find her in the studio stamping, carving, or drawing on the surface of her pots.
