Demystify the complexity that is flash photography. Learn how to create soft and pleasing light with the flash both on and off your camera. This 3-week class explores the use of speedlites with mirrorless and DSLR camera systems. Techniques will include bounce, TTl, manual exposure, color balance, and on versus off camera flash applications. Become immersed in the fundamentals of lighting with clear and approachable class assignments and homework. Speedlites are not required for this class. Sawtooth will provide lighting for in class use and assignments. Ages: 13 - Adult
C. Stephen Hurst
C. Stephen Hurst recently moved to Winston-Salem from New York City where he spent many years as a professional photographer and instructor at the International School of Photography. Hurst is a self-taught photographer who emphasizes connection, anticipation, and communication through his process; some of Hurst’s photography clients have included the Disney Family Foundation, Nike, and Columbia Business School.
