6501. Flashlight Long Exposure Photography

Known as the Paolo Roversi method, turn the flashlight on your Iphone into an incredibly powerful lighting tool. We will work with models and Learn how to create unique colorful portrait images using gels, bounce cards, long exposure, and a flashlight or constant light source. This three-week class is entirely hands on as students will spend 80 percent in complete darkness (save their light source) creating and crafting one of kind images. The class will also include discussions about various methods, advanced tools, and post processing techniques specific to light painting. AGES: 16-Adult
- A study tripod is preferred but not needed. Must have a firm knowledge of how to use your camera in manual mode. Come to class in dark or all black outfits so as not to show up in the photo when light painting.
C. Stephen Hurst
C. Stephen Hurst recently moved to Winston-Salem from New York City where he spent many years as a professional photographer and instructor at the International School of Photography. Hurst is a self-taught photographer who emphasizes connection, anticipation, and communication through his process; some of Hurst’s photography clients have included the Disney Family Foundation, Nike, and Columbia Business School.
