9050. Upholstered Bench

Class - Wood | Available

Add a softer side to your furniture making with this upholstered bench project. Starting with a basic framework of mortise and tenon joinery, you'll add details such as tapered legs and the fabric of your choice to suit your aesthetic. The class will cover the use of mortising machines and the router table to cut the joinery, slip seat upholstery and much more over the course of 7 weeks. In that time, you'll build a simple, elegant bench that fits perfectly in a bedroom or hallway. Prior woodworking experience is required.

Additional Info:
  • A material fee of $70 will be added at checkout. This fee covers all materials except for your upholstery fabric
  • Expect to spend an additional $15 - $30 on upholstery fabric. You can wait to purchase this until after your first week of class.
  • Registration will close one week prior to the start of class
  • Enrollment is open to ages 18 and up
