9039. Knife + Butcher Block

Build your skills in milling and dimensioning lumber while creating a classic end grain butcher block from the hardwood of your choice. and complement it with a hand made knife block. Over the course of six weeks, you will mill your lumber at the jointer and planer, then cut perfectly uniform stock at the table saw, learn all the tips and tricks for a successful glue up, and then do it all again to create a gorgeous and durable end grain board. Learn to cut box joints at the table saw to create a unique storage block for your knives to complete this classic kitchen set! Beginners are welcome, but previous woodworking experience will be helpful. Material fees will be dependent on the wood selected.
Additional Information:
- Registration will close 1 week prior to the start of class
- Registration is open to students age 18 and up
- The final dimensions of the butcher block you make in class will be 16" x20" x2"

- The knife block employs an open design with tight fitting box joints cut at the table saw.
