522. Intermediate Jewelry Fabrication: Continuing Skills

If you've mastered the basics of jewelry fabrication (sawing, soldering, finishing, etc.) this intermediate-level class will expand your creativity by emphasizing design skills and new techniques. Intermediate Jewelry Fabrication gives you the opportunity to pursue projects of your own choice. Directed projects will also be offered to target enhancing your jewelry making skills. Students should provide their own materials (metal), with some sheet metal available to purchase in the studio; tools and equipment are available in the studio for use during class time. Ages 16+

Nannette Davis

Nannette Davis graduated from Kansas University with a bachelor’s degree in graphic arts and communication and a bachelor’s degree in fine art in metalsmithing. After working as a lead bench and assistant for a jewelry designer in Chicago, she built her studio and started a jewelry line. She worked for 16 years in Gatti-Davis Designs Studio in Colorado then moved to Winston-Salem in 2005 and taught in the public schools through 2011. She teaches classes at Sawtooth and sells her jewelry through craft shows and galleries.
