9201. Introduction to Woodturning

Immerse yourself in the basics of wood turning and spend extended time getting to know the lathe! Over the course of five weeks, you’ll learn all about the tools and techniques necessary to turn spindles and bowls. With lots of hands-on time to practice as well as plenty of individual instruction, you’ll build your skills in turning while completing several classic turning projects from candle stick holders to bowls. This course will teach a beginning turner to prioritize safe and effective techniques, essential to a solid foundation in woodturning.

Additional Information:
- A $25 materials fee will be added to the total class fee at checkout
- Registration will close one week prior to the start of class
- Enrollment is open to students ages 18 and up
Nick Poschl
Nick Poschl has been turning and working with wood for over 30 years. With the exception of a few classes, he is a self-taught artist. After retiring from corporate life He spent 2 decades operating High Country Woodworking, a custom woodshop in Southern California. Having recently moved to Winston-Salem he looks forward to continuing his woodworking and sharing his craft.
