551. Stained Glass - Evening Class

All levels. Beginners learn all the basics needed to create a small stained glass panel, while experienced students may work on projects of their own choice. Learn techniques of cutting and grinding glass and assembling the pieces. The copper foil method is used for construction with most beginner’s projects, and the lead came method will be introduced to students who want to pursue that technique. A student supply list is available at the first class and students will purchase the glass and materials that go into their project, sources discussed in class. Hand tools and equipment such as grinders and soldering irons are available in the studio to share during class. Ages 16+.
Nancy David
Nancy David, glass artist, discovered stained glass design and construction in classes at the Sawtooth School for Visual Arts beginning in 1997. Since this time her primary mediums are glass and drawing. Working in stained glass ignited her passion for exploring line and color in a two dimensional format.
Her formal Education and Training includes: Sawtooth School for Visual Art, Stained Glass; Certified Mandala Facilitator, Mandala Circles for Healing; Appalachian State University, MA; Georgia Southwestern University, BS.
