Circle weavings are a quick and satisfying way to make unique fiber pieces. You will see your project come together in just a few hours. Weavers will explore color palettes and techniques of their choice. Good for weavers of all levels! All materials included.
Andrea Raines
Originally from Alexandria, VA, Andrea earned her undergraduate degree in Studio Art from Smith College in 2002, and her Masters in Arts of Teaching Art in 2003. Since then, she has taught art to students k-12 for 20 years in schools and camps in Northern Virginia and Yadkin County, landing at the Career Center in Winston-Salem in 2018. Her favorite thing in the classroom is challenging her students to think of materials and techniques in new ways, and to do things they didn’t think were possible!
In her own work, she loves combining materials (fabric, clay, yarn, found objects and textiles) and techniques (weaving, sewing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking) in new unexpected ways.
