9335. Pine Needle Baskets

Workshop - Wood | Available

Learn to stitch and wind small pine needle baskets, and to create vessels from natural materials. This basketry workshop will introduce you to some basic woodworking skills, as you'll start by cutting out and drilling the base of your basket in wood, then learn to bind and attach bundles of pine needles in a seamless spiral to create a small, blow shaped basket. The class will work with preharvested pine needles, but will discuss harvesting your own, and how to process them for weaving. All skill levels are welcome.

Additional Information:
  • A material fee of $20 will be included at check out
  • Registration will close one week prior to the start of class
  • Enrollment is open to students aged 16 +
