5136. Cabochon Stone Setting - Pendant

Workshop - Metals | Available

Learn the basics of soldering and bezel setting a cabochon stone in this three-hour class. You will learn or practice jewelry making basics such as sawing, filing, sanding and texturing using copper sheet and bezel. You will learn the basics of soldering and general stone setting and will complete a pendant. All materials provided. Beginners are welcome. Repeat students are encouraged to return and try this fun new design!

Nannette Davis

Nannette Davis graduated from Kansas University with a bachelor’s degree in graphic arts and communication and a bachelor’s degree in fine art in metalsmithing. After working as a lead bench and assistant for a jewelry designer in Chicago, she built her studio and started a jewelry line. She worked for 16 years in Gatti-Davis Designs Studio in Colorado then moved to Winston-Salem in 2005 and taught in the public schools through 2011. She teaches classes at Sawtooth and sells her jewelry through craft shows and galleries.
