“Beginning is a way in” structure and form of letter making can be considered a drawing process. We will look for repeated shapes and strokes.  Word construction is our goal, but this process brings with it the gift of meditation. 

Supplies for Beginning Calligraphy
Parallel pens, 3.8mm green OR 2.4 mm.orange cap

2 pencils, ruler

A Rhodia dot or graph pad, for practice

Joyce Teta

Joyce Teta has been a devoted calligrapher from an early age and specializes in proper book-making techniques. She founded the Calligraphy Centre in 1984 in the Triad, and has worked for clients such as Maya Angelou and the W-S Mayor.
