42233. Dark Field Monotype
Class - Printmaking | This class has been canceled
Learn the basics (and some secrets) of monotype printing with high contrast and strong darks using a water-soluble ink. Dark field monotypes can be anything from a powerful and atmospheric style to a straightforward and graphic presentation. In this course, we will use plexiglass as a reusable base and a variety of everyday tools to manipulate the ink in both reductive and additive methods.
This form of monotyping caters to a wide range of styles and techniques. Students will learn how to work reductively with the ink, set up, use the press properly, and print their images. This is an excellent class for people looking to experiment with a different and rewarding form of printmaking.
