Jeffers, Timothy

Timothy Jeffers is a developed artist with a deep passion for printmaking. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design with a minor in Business from Winston-Salem State University. In the fall 2022, Timothy had the opportunity to develop his interest in printmaking when he served as the Printmaking Intern at Sawtooth.

During his time there, Timothy had the privilege of working with Master Printer Leslie Smith, polished artist, professor and previous printmaking instructor. This experience allowed him to explore various printmaking techniques and expand his artistic horizons. Additionally, Timothy apprenticed under the guidance of Smith and refined his skills, learned traditional approaches, and discovered new ways to express his artistic vision.

Timothy was also able to work closely with Master Printer Terry Schupbach-Gordon at The Catbird on the Yadkin Press. Here, he immersed himself in the world of printmaking by setting type for Good Impressions Readings from the Press Bed, assisting students of the Art Based School of Winston Salem in creating their own prints, while gaining invaluable insights into the art and craft of printmaking.

His artistic journey continues to evolve, and he is excited to share his knowledge and passion for printmaking with others as he teaches printmaking, inspiring all generation to explore this captivating medium.
