This class is appropriate for the advanced beginner to intermediate level metals student/artist. The Guided Metals Studio class allows you to work on jewelry fabrication projects of your choosing with the guidance of an experienced metalsmith/instructor. Advance your skills while Nannette shows you tips and tricks of the metalsmith. Enameling and Casting are not included in this class. Experience is required. Sawtooth's 8-week Beginning Jewelry Fabrication is the perfect preparation. Students provide their own materials.
Nannette Davis
Nannette Davis graduated from Kansas University with a bachelor’s degree in graphic arts and communication and a bachelor’s degree in fine art in metalsmithing. After working as a lead bench and assistant for a jewelry designer in Chicago, she built her studio and started a jewelry line. She worked for 16 years in Gatti-Davis Designs Studio in Colorado then moved to Winston-Salem in 2005 and taught in the public schools through 2011. She teaches classes at Sawtooth and sells her jewelry through craft shows and galleries.
