Have you ever wished your wardrobe was a little more reflective of your interests and personality?  Have you ever added flair to your clothes?

Thrift Flip is all about taking basic clothes and uplifting them using techniques like adding applique, strategic tears, patches or specialty stitching, and screen printing.  Campers will be using sewing machines and hand-stitching techniques to add some artistic expression to their own clothes.  Campers will also make small samples to learn techniques they will then apply to their own clothing articles.

Students will need a variety of clothing they already own.  Please have camper bring in the following items on their first day of camp:  A pair of blue jeans, a light jacket (unlined), a plain t-shirt.

Ages 9-11

McFetters, Grace

Grace McFetters has studied various fiber arts since 2013, starting with knitting.  She began to explore weaving in early 2017. Grace established her fiber studio, Transcend Fiber Studio, in 2018, and formalized her fiber business in early 2020.  She has taught Ukrainian Easter Eggs since 2011, and began teaching fiber arts, including knitting, weaving, hand spinning, and dyeing since 2018. As Grace grows as an artist and continues learning new techniques, she continues to add to her teaching repertoire.  She now teaches sewing, both by hand and by machine, as well as some fun topics like needle felting, wool painting, and textile collage!
